you might just be an Internet marketer.
Perhaps its not the best list, but it does point out that Internet marketing is more than a simple task performed once and forgotten. It is an ongoing act of belief in your business. It is the desire to be in business next year at this time. For some marketing is an obsession.
Every grade school student seems to plant a few beans in a Styrofoam cup as part of a science experiment in school. It isnt long before those bean plants begin to grow and children urge their parents to become bean farmers. This visual is how it is with Internet marketing.
You start small with the beans of Search Engine Optimization (SEO), link building and networking. As those seeds grow in the fertile soil youve prepared you need to realize your work isnt done. The plants wont last in the container you started with so they need to be transplanted in a larger container and a few other nutrients and seeds planted (you want a staggered crop).
For most businesses the problems begin when they try to plant a few seeds in unprepared soil and believe they have done all they can. They dont water the soil, transplant the plants for improved growth and they fail to sow new seeds.
Its sort of like painting your house once and believing it will never need to be repainted again or putting tires on your vehicle and assuming they will never need to be replaced or cutting your hair once and believing that will be enough to keep your hair healthy and manageable for life.
Like a seed it can take some time to see growth so it can be easy to pay attention to other parts of your business while neglecting the marketing seeds.
The growth of a business depends on getting the word out.
I had someone tell me recently they didnt believe in advertising then they handed me their business card. Am I the only one to see the irony in that? Advertising was not important to them (or so they said), yet they were very interested in telling me about their business.
If you have a business online you MUST believe in advertising. You can only grow when you have an Internet marketing attitude enhancement.

Cysts are very small bags looking like blisters and filled with fluid. Women who are of the reproductive age commonly have cysts. For many women, ovarian cysts do not result in any specific symptoms. Inactive tumors will probably not cause any symptoms. This is certainly the case when the cyst is very small. Sometimes the tumors that generate particular hormones can lead to specific symptoms. Bleeding even after menopause may start for women with a feminizing tumor. Girls with ovarian cysts who are still too young for puberty may start bleeding early and grow breasts and body hair. In some cases cysts will grow and bring on abdominal bloating as they become bigger. A woman in this case will go to the toilet often because of the additional pressure on the bladder and the bowels. In this case such a crucial indication of ovarian cysts must not be neglected. Other indications include pain during intercourse. A further frequent sign of ovarian cysts is when periods are heavy or irregular. If a woman has an active masculine tumor, then periods may stop and she may begin to develop masculine features such as deepening of the voice, increased size of the clitoris and facial hair. It is possible for a woman to live with a cyst for many years without knowing it. However if the cyst has grown on a stem and the stem becomes twisted, this may also produce serious pain, an increase in the rate of heartbeat and vomiting. The name for this critical condition is torsion and it requires immediate action. If a cyst ruptures, the effects on a patient will depend on what the cyst contained, as well as any degree of bleeding or infection. A cyst that ruptures typically causes some pain but not necessarily as much as with torsion. If you experience an abnormal swelling of your abdomen then be sure to consult a doctor or a clinic. Because of the absence of symptoms in the cases of many ovarian cysts, they are often only discovered during ultrasound scans or routine checkups being performed for other reasons. So as to achieve long-term relief from ovarian cysts and their symptoms, the only real solution is a holistic treatment. Conventional medicine does not give effective treatment for ovarian cysts because it only focuses on relieving pain for symptoms. Several drug exists that may be prescribed for ovarian cyst treatment, but they do not bring a permanent solution. Many of them also have unfortunate second effects. No unique sign of ovarian cysts exists for diagnosing ovarian cysts reliably. In certain instances, there is no symptom whatsoever. In other cases the symptoms manifest themselves as ectopic pregnancy, pelvic inflammatory diseases and endometriosis. Other ailments seemingly unrelated such as appendicitis and diverticulitis have also proved to generate symptoms and indications looking like those of an ovarian cyst. However, it is imperative to keep a lookout for any of the above. The classic sign of torsion in an ovarian cyst is intense abdominal pain accompanied by fever and nausea. Another common sign of ovarian cysts is menstrual cramps that are also known under the name of period pains, or by their medical appellation of dysmenorrhea. Up to a certain level, period pain may be usual, but some patients accept a high level of pain considering it to be normal. Bad menstrual cramps may suggest other impairments including those of ovarian cysts. An indication of ovarian cysts is a continuing dull pulsing pain spreading from the lower back out to the thighs, as is a piecing pain in the pelvis just before the period starts or just before it ends. Other signs also linked to ovarian cysts are vomiting and fever and the sensation of a heavy or full abdomen. These signs may be numerous in some cases and completely absent in others. In the early stages, victims of ovarian cysts indicate a feeble pain or a feeling of fullness. The existence of ovarian cysts may also be signalled by pain when having intercourse. Piercing pains when pressure is applied to the bowels or during bowel movements are also to be treated with suspicion. In addition, signs often taken to be signs of pregnancy such as tenderness of the breasts, nausea and vomiting, can in fact indicate ovarian cysts. The best plan is to obtain counsel from a certified gynaecologist if you notice any of the above symptoms. In order to remedy and prevent future ovarian cysts, a smarter choice is a holistic treatment that allows for the cure and elimination of ovarian cysts permanently. Even if several options of treating or managing ovarian cysts are available, some of these only target the diminution of the painful symptoms rather than resolving the underlying disease. A holistic solution is also the quickest and safest way to rid yourself of ovarian cyst infection today and for the future.

United Arab Emirates (UAE) developer Emaar Properties has claimed that their Burj Dubai commercial and residential tower, currently under construction, has become the world’s tallest building, reaching a height of 512.1 metres (or 1,680 feet) and 141 storeys.
The current official record holder, Taipei 101 of Taiwan, has a height of 508 metres and 101 storeys, and will retain the “tallest building” title for some time to come. The Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat sets the criteria for achieving height records for buildings, and will not evaluate the Burj Dubai until construction is complete in late 2008. Although final height details have been kept secret by the developer, the Burj Dubai is expected to reach nearly 700 metres in height, with approximately 160 storeys.
The current record holder for the world’s tallest free-standing structure is the CN Tower in Toronto, Canada. It has a height of 553 metres. The Burj Dubai, therefore, would claim both records when it is completed.
Once the Burj Dubai is completed, it will have required 330,000 cubic metres of concrete, 39,000 tonnes of steel and 142,000 square metres of glass, according to Emaar Properties. The building will have 56 lifts (elevators) that can move at a rate of speed of 1.75 to 10 metres per second.
Dubai is undergoing a construction boom currently with the Burj Dubai as the planned centrepiece of a $US20 billion project, which will eventually realize some 30,000 apartments and boast the world’s largest shopping mall.
There have been criticisms of the working conditions for construction workers in the UAE. A majority of the estimated 500,000 construction workers in the UAE are foreign workers from India, Pakistan and Bangladesh.
In a 2006 report on the UAE’s treatment of migrant workers, entitled Building Towers, Cheating Workers, Human Rights Watch documented abuses in UAE such as, “extremely low wages, several years of indebtedness to recruitment agencies for fees that UAE law says only employers should pay, the withholding of employees’ passports, and hazardous working conditions that result in apparently high rates of death and injury.”
In October of last year, Human Rights Watch delivered specific recommendations to the UAE government for improvement of working conditions. The UAE government acted swiftly on the report and put in place several improvements, which were applauded by Human Rights Watch.
However, the salaries of migrant construction workers remain in the range from $106 to $250 per month, while the national average wage is over $2,000 per month. Trade unions remain illegal in the UAE.

A car accident involving the car occupants and a dentist’s office happened on Sunday night in Santa Ana, California. A white Nissan sedan which was apparently driving too fast hit the raised concrete median on the road, after which it was launched into the air, slamming straight into the wall of the second floor of a two-story dental practice building, where the car got wedged.
According to the police, the car approached from a side street. The room of the dental office penetrated by the sedan was used as a storage space. A fire department crane was used to extract the vehicle from the building, which took several hours.
There were two people in the sedan. One of them managed to escape from the hanging vehicle on his own, while the other one remained trapped inside it for over an hour. They were both hospitalized with minor injuries, according to the Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA). According to the police, the driver of the car admitted narcotics use, and after toxicology tests the case is to be submitted to the Orange County District Attorney’s Office.
The moment of the accident was captured by surveillance video from a bus which the car narrowly missed when becoming airborne.
According to OCFA spokesperson Captain Stephen Horner, there was a small fire after the crash, which was extinguished quickly.

Today, after two years of waiting, American iPhone users are finally able to send and receive MMS messages. This long awaited feature has caused Apple and AT&T a great deal of grief from its user base. Originally the grief was directed at Apple for the lack of inclusion on the device, but as time progressed AT&T was faulted for lack of support.
When the iPhone was released in June of 2007, it lacked one feature that was widely available on other devices: MMS or Multimedia Messaging Service. This standard, similar to the all text SMS standard, allows users to send and receive video, audio, and picture files on their mobile phones. MMS was launched in 2002 and by 2007 was a common feature on most new mobile phones. It was not until June 2009, with the release of iPhone OS 3.0, that the devices also had the capability to send and receive these multimedia messages. Unfortunately for American iPhone users, all of whom use AT&T because of an exclusive agreement between the phone company and Apple, AT&T did not allow iPhone users to use this feature; that changed today.
Current iPhone users simply need to update (from iTunes) and reboot their device in order to enable MMS. AT&T was originally concerned about not having the network capacity to handle the data demand of all the MMS messages and in Wikinews’ own testing this seems to be a valid issue. The ability to send and receive MMS messages was functional, but by midday Friday (PST), AT&T’s network was extremely slow, with messages taking in excess of two minutes to send. Tests over AT&T’s 3G network showed upload and download speeds nearly halved what they were just a few days prior.

With a game-in-hand, champions Manchester United maintained a one-point lead over second-place Liverpool after United defeated Sunderland 2–1 and Liverpool defeated Blackburn Rovers 4–0 in English Premier League action this weekend. Third- and fourth-place Chelsea and Arsenal both earned key victories, with Chelsea only four points out of the top of the table.

Arsenal ran out comfortable 4–1 winners at Wigan. After Mido scored the first goal in the 18th minute, Arsenal saw second-half goals form Theo Walcott, Mikaël Silvestre, Andrei Arshavin and Alexandre Song. Arsenal is now six points behind Chelsea.
The fifth spot in the table on the line, Aston Villa hosted sixth-place Everton in one of two games Sunday, who were just one point behind Villa. Neither club could gain position on the other after the game ended in a 3–3 draw. After being down 3–1 early in the second half, Villa scored twice, once on a penalty to tie the game.
In the other game Sunday, Fulham defeated Manchester City 3–1, with two goals coming from American Clint Dempsey. Dempsey was awarded Man of the Match honors for his brace.
In other Saturday action, Tottenham earned a 1–0 victory over West Ham United. The Spurs’ lone goal came in the 65th minute from Roman Pavlyuchenko.

Google News submitted patent applications both in the United States and world-wide in September 2003 for a system of ranking search returns. The patent protection filings seek to control Google’s approach that filters headlines through a complicated algorithm, including the quality of the news organization. How much of this system is currently in use by the search engine giant is unknown.
Primitive search engines are expected to organically evaluate links based on how closely the keywords typed in the search field match an object link, and how many other links are attached to the object. Then a measure of relevance is calculated before returning a reply.
It seems some measure of the work being done at Google is a reaction to search engine optimization (SEO) campaigns which can, if done effectively, skew results to certain domains. A challenge for Google is to develop its technology to nullify efforts on the dark side of SEO and link-spamming.
What also seems to be coming out from this, according to research from the Internet Search Engine Database, is that Google does indeed have a ‘sandbox’ where domains are evaluated first by a human factor before being released into its algorithms.
In its first ever Securities and Exchange Commission filing since the company went public last year, Google indicated that it intends to spend US$500 million on technology development, more than double the $177 million it spent two years ago.

An acrobatic group known by the name of Spelbound has been declared as the winner of Britain’s Got Talent 2010, a televised variety talent show competition broadcast on ITV in the United Kingdom. As the winning act of the show, Spelbound have won £100,000 (US$144,580, €120,313, A$175,079) and a place at The Royal Variety Performance, an annual gala evening that is attended by senior members of the British Royal Family.
In no particular order, the top three acts were revealed to be two dancers known by their stage name of Twist and Pulse, gymnastic group Spelbound and Kieran Gaffney, whose act involves playing on the drum kit. After Kieran Gaffney was revealed to be in third place, Anthony McPartlin, who hosts Britain’s Got Talent with Declan Donnelly, said to Kieran: “Well done Kieran. Kieran, you’re a star, you came back, you got all the way to the final. I know you’ve loved this. You’ve loved this, haven’t you?” In response to this, Kieran Gaffney stated: “Thank you very much. Thank you, everyone for supporting me. Thank you.”
Shortly afterwards, on the episode that was broadcast live on ITV1 on Saturday, Anthony announced: “After tens of thousands of auditons, five semi-finals and an amazing final, this…this is it. One of you is about to walk away with £100,000 and a place at this year’s Royal Variety Performance. The winner of Britain’s Got Talent 2010 is…Spelbound!” Glen Murphy from Twist and Pulse commented about finishing in second place, stating: “Yeah, it’s amazing. I can’t even believe it. I can’t believe it at all.”
Alex Uttley, a 24-year-old member of Spelbound, commented on the gymnastic group’s victory, commenting: “Oh, my god. This is unbelieveable. We just want to say thank you to everyone out there. It just shows that all our hard work has paid off.” One of the coaches of Spelbound, named Neil Griffiths, stated about Spelbound: “Oh, they’ve worked so hard over the last few weeks. Um, since the semi-final, we…we really had to pull out the stops to try and up the game. They’ve not known they’ve worked in the gym from six in the morning till twelve…twelve o’clock of the night. I couldn’t have asked for more. Um, it’s a team of coaches. I don’t take all the credit myself. There’s, uh, two people up there that know who they are who’ve been fantastic.”
Spelbound consists of 24-year-old Alex Uttley, Nicholas Illingworth, aged 24, Adam Buckingham, aged 21, 20-year-old Adam McAssey, 19-year-old Douglas Fordyce, 18-year-old Edward Upcott, 18-year-old Leighanne Cowler, 17-year-old Katie Axten, 17-year-old Lauren Kemp, 15-year-old Jonathan Stranks, Abigail Ralph, aged 15, 13-year-old Hollianne Wood and Amy Mackenzie, aged 12. Bookmakers had previously predicted that Spelbound would be the most likely act to become the winner of the series.
The running order for the final started with Twist and Pulse. The second act to perform was Liam McNally, a 14-year-old singer. The running order subsequently continued with 40-year-old impressionist Paul Burling, singer Christopher Stone, aged 28, Tina & Chandi, a woman and dog dancing act, Connected, a five-piece singing group, Kieran Gaffney, aged 12, 22-year-old Tobias Mead, a dancer, 80-year-old singer Janey Cutler and Spelbound in that particular order.
Earlier on in the final, Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda Holden has stated to Spelbound: “We are hosting the 2012 Olympics and I think ‘what a brilliant opening act’.” Fellow judge Piers Morgan also commented that “[t]he purpose of this show is to identify hidden great British talent. You are that act.” After Spelbound won in the final, another judge, named Simon Cowell, stated that “the right boys and girls won on the night” and that he could “only say on live TV that that was one of the most astonishing things I have ever seen. Seriously.”
